Karen C. Caton (formerly Karen C. Cathey) has practiced law for over 35 years and was the first attorney in Collin County to achieve Board Certification in the area of Estate Planning and Probate Law. Leigh Caton Carter ("Cate") graduated from McKinney High School in 1999. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Rice University in 2003 and a Master's degree in Sociology from Stanford University in 2009. Cate joined the firm in 2012 as a legal assistant and worked while attending law school at SMU Dedman School of Law where she graduated in 2016. She has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 2017. Cate enjoys continuing the family practice and helping a variety of clients, both existing and new, with estate planning and probate.
